STORYLINE

The film school at a local college is bursting at the seams and needs more space for its high-spirited enthusiastic students. An old overgrown, forgotten property is found, now owned by the County -- a once thriving and famous, now decaying and defunct television/film production studio. The school negotiates to buy the property for pennies on the dollar if the school administrators agree to revitalize the property, and pay taxes in the future. The starry eyed students are thrilled that they will finally have a genuine studio facility to produce their projects and they volunteer for the cleanup project. But the historically disaster prone studio has a mind of its own and this disenchanted property does not want to be disturbed.

Although warning signs are evident, they are not heeded. The student's blind enthusiasm prevails, even after a nearly fatal freak accident and newly discovered research uncovering the reality of the studios much-maligned history. In a dark and tortured past, the studios cameras have captured horrifying visualizations that were metaphysically burned into the camera's circuitry. Some things are too horrifying to be forgotten and the students seem destined to replay the terror of the cameras torturously captured imagery.

STORYLINE

Michael Harris 22 years old, leads a charmed life. A gorgeous girlfriend, an adventurous sidekick, amazing talents and a supportive family provide him with a life full of options and a bright future. A few troublemakers find Michael's zest for life an annoyance, and their jealousy leads to tragedy resulting in Michael being swept away with the ocean currents -- lost at sea.

Discovered floating miles from shore, Michael is reluctantly rescued, by a criminal arms smuggling merchant vessel, and delivered to a compassionate third world hospital. The paranoid ships financier ensures Michaels silence by secretly paying to keep him medically sedated. Unaware of Michael's drugged food supply, the hospital staff caringly attends to Michael in his semiconscious state.

After virtually no improvement, Michael is eventually moved to sanitarium and several years pass. Doctors decide to attempt a new experimental surgical technique and sacrifice Michael to the procedure. He is brought back to the hospital for the procedure and successfully recovers. Upon awakening, he finds that he has caring new friends, a new pet, and a budding romance with his attending nurse. Now conscious, Michael's very presence poses a significant threat to the highly profitable and illicit operations of the merchant vessel and its criminal associates. Once again, Michael and his innocent friends are caught in the middle of a desperate scheme, but this time Michael is ready.

STORYLINE

World 1: Jack Donnelly -- 42 years old, amateur filmmaker and his family have found themselves in the wrong place at the wrong time - they have seen too much -- deep in a tropical forest off the coast of Central Florida. Three desperate criminals led by a dirty undercover cop want Jack and his family to disappear -- forever.

World 2: Tricia Hanson a 21 year-old uninspired film student is facing a failing grade. Tricia's film class TA (teacher's assistant), Brian Miller 26 years old, finds a Mini DV Tape in the same forest where Jack and his family were fighting for their lives. Brian knows that Tricia needs some extra credit for the class and gives her the tape (without ever seeing it himself) telling her to "edit it and make it interesting…"

World 3: While editing the tape, Tricia can't decide if she is watching a staged fictional story or a desperate account of real and dire circumstances. She pieces together her own version of Donnelly's "behind the scenes" footage - but finds a story with no beginning or ending. In search of answers, Tricia and her friends travel on location and find a hidden storage box full of tapes and other disturbing clues. Tape by tape Tricia begins to piece together the story, while a dangerous new story is unfolding all around her. The line between reality and fiction becomes blurred in every direction as Tricia and her friends inadvertently become the central plot of Jack Donnelly's film.

STORYLINE

The Myers family had it all, a successful marriage, gifted children and ever-growing prosperity. John Myers was an automobile broker. His beautiful wife Leslie Myers was a real estate broker. Their son Kevin Myers a world ranked surfer in his teens, but their daughter Stacy Myers, seemed to shine the brightest of all - a beautiful tennis star.

At a very early age, Stacy developed asthma but also showed signs of being a world-class player and was bigger, stronger and faster than all the other girls in her league. Stacey was beginning to peak in her mid teens - a side effect of the asthma, and the other girls were catching up. To help put Stacy back on the fast-track, her family arranged to medicate her with illegal, experimental drugs. They crossed the lines in the sand over and over exposing Stacy to a seedy underworld.

Eventually Stacey's secret is discovered, but all those responsible hide from the truth leaving Stacey to take the blame and punishment for their involvement, but her innocence has its limits.

STORYLINE

Four best friends often find themselves on the back porch drinking beer telling each other stories with big lies attached. As the beer goes down the stories get bigger, bolder and more unbelievable. Their wives are not as amused and when the men refuse to pitch in and help clean up after a birthday barbecue, the ladies come down on them hard challenging them to do something - anything instead of sitting around lying to each other all-night.

Hence the liar's club is born and like all of drunken challenges, money soon gets attached as each contributes $25,000 to a winner take all liars contest. Now men of action as challenged by their wives, decide bring their lies to life - wreaking havoc on the their neighbors and the community at large - and catch it all on film for proof. It's a no holds barred winner take all competition - and no one is safe until it's over.

So What’s the Big Idea is a new Comedy/Reality television show written and produced by Ric Johnson and Quantum Media. The two show pilot (available on DVD) - was produced in association with DRTV Productions just outside Orlando in Melbourne Florida.

The CONCEPT of the show is that “ PRESENTERS” introduce and/or demonstrate “BIG IDEAS” – primarily inventions and original product ideas. TWIST - Up to half of the ideas are completely made up (by the show’s writers) and are presented by ACTORS for the purpose of FOOLING THE JUDGES and unsuspecting consumers in our field poll. The actors do a great job and it’s often quite difficult to tell the difference between inventive geniuses and the con artists.
